Who will benefit
The funding is intended to remove barriers
to growth in rural areas, and will enable
businesses of different sizes in these areas
to grow.
What will be delivered
The RGN project will support a range of
projects, together with comprehensive
business support, access to finance and a
network to link rural businesses to the
expertise and knowledge of Exeter and
Plymouth Universities and other
development organisations.
It is estimated that through this work the
Rural Growth Network has the potential to
add up to £40m to the rural economy.
How the Family Business Growth
Programme fits in
The Family Business Growth Programme
forms part of the local RGN and is an
initiative unique to the SouthWest. It has
received a limited amount of funding to
subsidise the cost of training and fund the
monitoring and evaluation of progress made
in delivering the range of agreed outputs.
Outputs include succession plans, family
constitutions and family business plans.
