Outline to the FBGP
and how it will be delivered
In addition to professional advisors, a number
of business support and membership
organisations were invited to contribute to
the programme and also, in some cases,
deliver the business support directly to rural
businesses.
Core Government funding will cover the
programme set up, monitoring and evaluation
and subsidise some of the cost of the two day
programme at IMD and sessions at Exeter
University.
Rural family businesses and family firms in
Devon and Somerset will benefit from expert,
world class advice on how to help grow and
sustain their business from one of the world’s
leading business schools.
Professor of Family Business, Joachim
Schwass and Professor of Organisational
Behaviour, Ben Bryant lead the IMD two day
programme, supported by Dr Matt Lobley
from the University of Exeter, an expert in
Rural Family Business and especially farming
family succession. Dr Lobley is responsible for
programme monitoring and evaluation.
