Bradfords' official opening at Exmouth's newest business park

One of the UK's largest independent builders' merchants will mark its official opening in Exmouth with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday May 31st.

Bradfords Building Supplies is the first firm to trade from Exmouth's newest business park - Liverton 2 - developed by Clinton Devon Estates to provide East Devon with 10,000m2 (100,000ft2) of employment space for the light industry, storage and distribution sector.

The opening ceremony begins at 12 noon, with a presentation from Bradfords and tour of the site. Lord Clinton, of Clinton Devon Estates will cut the ribbon to officially open the new outlet.

In attendance will be East Devon District Council's Deputy Chief Executive Richard Cohen, Chair of the Heart of the South West Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Tim Jones, East Devon District Councillors and Exmouth Town Councillors, as well as representatives from Clinton Devon Estates.

Leigh Rix, Head of Property and Land for Clinton Devon Estates, said: "The opening ceremony marks the culmination of years of planning and development work on our new business park. To see trading begin, bringing with it new opportunities to Exmouth and the wider area, is a proud moment for both Bradfords and Clinton Devon Estates."

Bradfords is a 240 year old family business which has branches across the region, including Exeter, Honiton and Seaton as well as Hereford and Worcestershire. This is Bradfords' 30th branch and the firm's first outlet in Exmouth.

Dennis Smith, Managing Director of Bradfords Building Supplies Ltd said: "Exmouth has been a missing jigsaw piece in our south west network and we were prepared to wait to find the right premises in the right place. I am confident that we have found this at Liverton 2 and we look forward to offering our customers, both existing customers and new ones, a first rate service in a first rate location."

Liverton 2 was awarded planning permission by East Devon District Council in October 2010 to provide the town with significant new employment space.  Full details of the site layout, location and approximate unit sizes can be found in the site brochure, available from Harrison-Lavers and Potburys or online at www.livertonbusinesspark.com
