100 new jobs created as two national retailers move to Liverton Business Park

Earlier this month TJ Morris’ discount store, Home Bargains, opened its latest branch at Liverton creating up to 50 new jobs followed by, The Range, announcing the opening of its new store in June 2016.

Taking over the existing premises previously occupied by B&Q, The Range will create more than 80 part-time and full-time jobs; from store and department managers to sales assistants and warehouse positions.

Leigh Rix, Head of Property and Land at Clinton Devon Estates, owners of Liverton Business Park, said: “The opening of both stores will really benefit the people of Exmouth and East Devon, increasing the variety of great value shopping options and providing over 100 jobs.

“The large unit that will be occupied by The Range was recently vacated by B&Q as part of a national programme of store closures and has provided an ideal opportunity for The Range, in terms of a modern building and accessible location that serves a wide catchment area.

“Liverton Business Park is an ideal location for this signature retailer which, we know, will be extremely popular with shoppers in Exmouth and the wider East Devon.”

Mr Rix added: “We’ve expanded Liverton Business Park over the past few years and recently welcomed Howdens and Bradfords. We’re constantly looking at our options for developing units and attracting new business to support the local community and reduce unemployment.”

Built by Clinton Devon Estates in the 1990’s, Liverton Business Park just off Salterton Road, Exmouth is home to a mix of national and local businesses including Pets At Home, McDonald’s, Halfords, Exmouth Windows, Bradfords and Howdens.

Leigh Rix continued: “Liverton Business Park provides a high quality out-of-town shopping centre which has become a real magnet for shoppers and will continue to go from strength to strength thanks to the vibrant selection of shops and businesses located there.”

Liverton Business Park also offers a range of versatile small business units suitable for trade counter, warehouse and light industrial.
