New store is at home on growing Exmouth business park
The company, which is one of the UK’s largest family-run retailers, is creating up to 50 new jobs in the community with the store.
Joe Morris, operations director at Home Bargains, said: “Liverton Business Park will be a great location for us and we’re pleased to be a new addition to the local business community.
“We’re proud to be able to offer local people top-branded goods at exceptionally low prices.”
Leigh Rix, Head of Property and Land at Clinton Devon Estates, owners of the Liverton Business Park, said: “This announcement is good news for the people of Exmouth and East Devon as it adds a new dimension to the area’s retail and employment mix.
“Home Bargains is a well-established, growing company which is known to generate increased footfall in retail and business parks so it’s also good news for all the existing tenants at Liverton.
“We are also negotiating with another national company which is interested in taking the store vacated by B&Q after they sadly decided to close around 60 outlets across the country last year.
“In recent years we have expanded Liverton Business Park so it is now also home to Howdens and Bradfords, and we are also in the process of developing more units to alleviate the shortage of serviced employment space in Exmouth.
“We will soon be starting to build the new Harpford Units which will offer the opportunity for local companies to expand or relocate to this purpose-built business park.”
