Estate Home Farms

Clinton Farms is the Clinton Estate's home farming operation. Located in East Devon the farm comprises of 2,800 acres mainly in the Lower Otter Valley. It also farms our other Home Farm in Beer. Based on the principles of mixed farming, the unit has 500 dairy cows run in two herds, a 1,300 flock of breeding ewes and the arable enterprise.

Our produce - Where does it go?

With such a varied holding and with a large rate of production our food reaches a range of local and global markets.

In one year we produce:

  • 10 million pints of milk for the fresh milk market.
  • Enough wheat to make 1.5 million loaves of bread and 3 million packets of biscuits.
  • Our lamb is sold to supply Southern Counties Fresh Foods in Sherborne and our prize winning flock of pedigree Texels are used to produce breeding rams for sale and as terminal Sire rams for our Mule ewes.

The farm is currently undergoing organic conversion and will be fully organic by 2009.
